About Our Green Cleaning 

We use GreenEarth® and/or Wet Cleaning. These processes are completely safe for everyone, from new born infants to people with allergies. They leave no residue on your clothing and are biodegradable.  Most dry cleaners use petroleum-based, toxic solvents like Perc or hydrocarbon solvents (often called Organic) to clean your garments(much like washing your clothes with gasoline). They clean really well and dry cleaners love them.  However, over time these strong “Organic” solvents weaken fabric fibers, leaving clothes looking faded and worn.

Greensleeves’ totally green process will not damage a garment’s fabric or its dyes. Your cleaned garments are returned to you in like-new condition, feeling soft, looking vibrant and will never have a chemical smell.

No residue means truly clean.  People with allergies or sensitive skin no longer have to worry about irritations from "unknown"  chemicals or causes. Rashes that occur from "something" in their clothes no longer happen because your clothes are truly clean.  Even new-borns find GreenEarth pleasurable, their blankets a true joy again.

Eco-Friendly Wet Cleaning

Greensleeves also offers wet cleaning. This is another non-toxic, environmentally safe cleaning process that utilizes computer-controlled wet cleaning technologies, biodegradable soaps, conditioners and specialized finishing equipment. Returned wet cleaned garments are as fresh as a brisk mountain breeze. 

GreenEarth was discovered in a cosmetic plant where it has been used for decades in personal care items like skin creams, deodorants and shampoos.  The workers noticed this silicone filler cleaned their hands.  A safe alternative to toxic dry cleaning solvents had been found.  Since then, more than 200 independant tests has proven GreenEarth safe and effective.

The scientific reason we’re better for fabric.

Our cleaning solution is chemically inert. What does that mean? It means it doesn’t interact with fabric at all. It merely carries the detergent to the clothing and then carries away the dirt, and stains.

You can see the difference for yourself. Whites don’t yellow, fabrics stay soft and colors won’t fade even with repeated cleanings. Wools never get that “washed out” appearance, either. And with GreenEarth, there’s never any shrinkage, so clothes always retain their correct size and shape.
